Guidelines on COVID-19 related relocation measures

Guidelines on COVID-19 related relocation measures

As the COVID-19 outbreak in Taiwan continues, NTU has devoted our efforts to prevent an outbreak on our campus and community. Therefore, we update our prevention and relocation measures for resident students in our dormitories as follows:

  • Resident students who are designated by Center for Disease Control or Department of Health as “Confirmed Case,” “Close Contact” or are required to “Home Isolation,” “Home Quarantine,” or “Enhanced Self-Health Management” should leave the dormitory immediately. For Confirmed Cases, please follow the instruction from the Department of Health to hospital or other designated locations; the others should return to their home (local students) or relocate to off-campus accommodations arranged by NTU Student Housing Service Division. Additional cost for off-campus accommodations should be borne from the government subsidy first; NTU may only offer additional subsidy if the government subsidy is not sufficient to cover related costs. Students may be eligible for the subsidy if they are required to relocate to off-campus accommodation before June 27.

  • Resident students who are designated by NTU as “Close Contact” should also relocate to off-campus accommodations arranged by NTU Student Housing Service Division. Additional cost for off-campus accommodations should be borne from the government subsidy first; NTU may only offer additional subsidy if the government subsidy is not sufficient to cover related costs. Students may be eligible for the subsidy if they are required to relocate to off-campus accommodation before June 27.

  • Resident students who are required to “Self-Health Management” by Department of Health or NTU are strongly recommended to return to their home (local students) or relocate to off-campus accommodations arranged by NTU Student Housing Service Division. This is part of NTU COVID-19 preventive measures and is using a higher standard than the government guideline to better protect our campus and community. NTU will subsidize the cost for off-campus accommodations based on the days of required “Self-Health Management” period. Students may be eligible for the subsidy if they are required to relocate to off-campus accommodation before June 27.

  • Resident students who are required by the government to get tested for COVID-19 should also return to their home (local students) or relocate to off-campus accommodations arranged by NTU Student Housing Service Division until the test result comes back. NTU will subsidize the cost for off-campus accommodations up to 7 days. Students may be eligible for the subsidy if they are required to relocate to off-campus accommodation before June 27. Resident students who voluntarily choose to get tested for COVID-19 are not eligible for this subsidy.

Sincerely,
NTU Student Housing Service Division
